Debra Sandford
Quality of Life Psychology
Debra Sandford is a Clinical Psychologist and co-founder of the Quality of Life Psychology clinic. She’s an award-winning researcher, speaker at global clinical symposiums, and guest lecturer.
Currently undertaking her PhD at the University of Adelaide’s School of Medicine, Debra is known for her research into the psychological issues that affect people with the rare lung disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
Prior to establishing Quality of Life Psychology she worked with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Adelaide Sleep Disorders Unit at the Repatriation General Hospital, and Glenside Hospital.
Debra is Chair for the South Australian Branch of the Australian Psychological Society. With vast experience across mental wellbeing and medicine, Debra supports patients with a psychodynamic approach to healing. Her therapeutic approaches include CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, Parallel Parent Child Narrative, and Circle of Security.
