Resilience Psychology
Mai Dao is a Clinical Psychologist at Resilience Clinical Psychology where she works with adult individuals and couples to help them cope, learn and grow from life’s challenges.
Mai provides support for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, life adjustments and grief and loss. She has specialised training and extensive experience with Gottman Method Couples Therapy and individual relationship struggles, trauma recovery and cancer support.
Mai’s warmth and empathy creates a safe space for clients to engage with evidence-based psychological therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help reduce their distress and enhance their lives.
With thirteen years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, Mai has held roles in hospital cancer services, hospital and community mental health teams, GP medical practices and psychology private practice. She has attained a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), a Master of Psychology (Clinical), and is an AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor.
