Mariya Zubaryeva is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) and Director of Calm Cove Therapy, where seeking healing is something that’s celebrated, as emotional wellness is the highest form of
self-expression.
Mariya specialises in the full spectrum of psychological growth including navigating anxiety, processing trauma, adjusting to diagnoses, identity issues, and reaching self-actualisation. She has a special focus on treating
personality disorders and trauma, of all kinds. Prior to launching her practice, Mariya worked in education, child development and mental health for various
government bodies.
Her treatment modalities range from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dyadic Developmental
Psychotherapy (DDP), Schema Therapy, and Theraplay.
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Mariya approaches healing from a whole-of-person perspective, meaning her therapy has more
breadth and depth.
Mariya holds a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, a Master of Social Work, and maintains a Mental Health Accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
